About this blog

Sunday Morning Musings…

With more than a little fear and trepidation, I’ve decided to blog about some of the sunday school lessons I’ve done in 10 plus years of teaching Senior High Sunday School.  But I should warn you:  I’m not a pastor and I’m not a theologian.  I’m actually a lawyer by day —  and a left leaning democratic one at that (consider yourself warned).  These blog posts will likely reflect my interest in the intersection of faith and every day existence, so you’ll find posts about Moses and my parent’s housekeeper; about Esau’s blessing and a Duke basketball player; about life changes and Tiger Woods — you get the picture.  Bible stuff mixed in with the everyday.

You should also know that these lessons were originally taught using a pure socratic method — essentially piling questions on top of questions in an effort to prompt more questions.  These posts are not intended to provide answers so much as to facilitate discussion so I really hope you’ll join in and give us your insights.  Thanks.  And welcome.
